A new grant action for the smooth support of Small and Medium Enterprises affected by Covid-19 was signed today by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Giannis Tsakiris, following a proposal by the Special Secretariat for the Management of ERDF and CF Programs.
According to an announcement, the budget action of 50 million euros is addressed to the companies of the sectors providing services of organization of conferences / trade fairs, catering for events, catering / entertainment, gyms and dance schools that are active all over the country and suffer significant financial losses due to effects of COVID-19 disease.
The Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis stated:
“As we had promised, the subsidy program of 8% of the 2019 turnover is progressing for those sectors that had a reduction in turnover due to the 2019 -2020 pandemic of 50% or more. The Government has pledged from the outset that we will stand by every business and every employee to save the business and the jobs in this unprecedented situation. Under the new challenges that the current situation poses, we undertake the exact same commitment “.
It is noted that the action has already been approved by the competent Services of the European Commission, is co-financed in the context of the European Union response to the COVID-19 React EU pandemic and concerns Small and Medium and Large Enterprises.
The subsidy to each company amounts to a maximum of 8% on the Turnover of the year 2019 and up to the amount of 400,000 Euros. The companies of the above branches that were established within the two years of the pandemic (year 2020 and year 2021) are automatically included in the action with a proportional maximum grant calculated.
The main conditions for participation in the action are:
• Legal operation
• Basic activity (Main KAD or KAD with the highest income) in the eligible sectors
• Reduction of Turnover for the year 2020 by at least 50.0% compared to the Turnover for the year 2019
• Fulfillment of non-problematic requirements in the year 2019
• Failure to exceed the Accumulation Limit of 2.3 million euros of similar aid granted under the “Temporary Framework”.
Applications are submitted to the State Aid Information System (PSE) of the Ministry of Development and Investment at www.ependyseis.gr only electronically without the requirement to submit a Physical File of supporting documents from 16/3/2022 and time 12:00 until 15/4/2022 and time 15:00.
The evaluation of the submitted Funding Applications is done by the method of direct procedure with observance of priority time order.
The disbursement of the grant takes place immediately after the approval of the submitted funding application without the obligation to submit a second in a row relevant Request.
The grant must be spent on operating expenses within the first nine months of 2022 and covers part (up to 70%) of these expenses.
As in all previous relevant Actions of the Ministry of Development and Investment, the Unsecured of the eligible subsidy has already been instituted here so that through the action the development of the companies is financed and not the coverage of their overdue obligations to the State or to third parties.
It is noted that companies are required to electronically attach minimum submission documents. In particular, the responsible declarations required by Community law must bear the appropriate signatures of authenticity of signature.
The submitted data of the companies will be crossed with the ones already kept for them in the National databases (eg TaxisNET) BEFORE the announcement of results. In case of rejection of the submitted application, the company has the right of one and only re-submission.
