The turnover of the country’s businesses in the third quarter of this year reached 128,246,250 thousand euros, marking an increase of 4.4% compared to the third quarter of 2023, which had reached 122,801,383 thousand euros.
The largest increase in turnover was shown by the companies in the Mining and Quarrying sector (18.4%), while the smallest increase was shown by the companies in the Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles sector (1%).
Also according to ELSTAT, for all businesses with an obligation to keep duplicate books and for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in September 2024 amounted to 33,832,547 thousand euros, marking an increase of 1.9% in relation to with September 2023, which had risen to 33,203,681 thousand euros.
The biggest increase in turnover was shown by the companies of the Construction sector (25.4%), while the biggest decrease was shown by the companies of the Manufacturing sector (6.1%).
