Kostas Damigos is the new president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce.

As stated in the announcement, the unique single combination “BIOTECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT – ASSOCIATION” led by Costas Damigos, who was elected president automatically, is the one that will manage the Chamber of Commerce of Athens, for the next four years. The combination elected 46 members of the Board of Directors. in the Artisans department and 5 members of the Board of Directors. in the Services section.

A total of 119 candidates participated in the ballot.

It is recalled that the elections for the selection of the new Board of Directors at the Athens Chamber of Commerce were held from November 30 to December 2, 2024.

After the completion of the election process, the new President, Kostas Damigos, said: “…Our faction, “Craftsmanship Development Rally”, managed to inspire and unite the large family of small and medium-sized artisans of Athens. By choosing to enter the elections with a single ballot, we have shown in practice that unity is our strength. So I want to express, my deepest gratitude, for the great participation in the elections and the universal acceptance you showed towards me and our faction. Also, I would like to thank my fellow candidates from the bottom of my heart, for the camaraderie and good cooperation they demonstrated throughout the election period. We proved that we can work together for the common good, with respect and mutual appreciation.

Your trust fills us with a great sense of responsibility and will be our driving force to move forward. The new administration undertakes its work, with the aim of implementing its commitments, ensuring that the needs and concerns of small and medium-sized artisans and professionals will remain at the center. We are determined to defend the rights and interests of small and medium-sized businesses and all the industries we represent.

At the same time, we will work with specific positions and targeted actions, to overcome the complex problems we face, creating conditions that will allow a sustainable and substantial development. Craftsmanship, small businesses and the self-employed are irreplaceable in the productive function of the country and can be a catalyst for a stable economic growth that will benefit the whole society.

I promise to stay by your side, listening to your concerns, fighting for your needs! The Chamber of Commerce of Athens will be the home of all of us, a space of transparency, cooperation and action, where we will work collectively to make our Crafts again a pillar of development.
