The President of the Republic Konstantinos A. Tasoulasat the invitation of the President of her Estonian Alar Karisparticipates in Informal session of heads of state her Arraiolos groupwhich is being held this year in Tallinn.

Coming to the meeting, Mr. Tasoulas made the following statement:

“I am here for the first time here in the capital of Estonia, in the beautiful Tallinn, at the invitation of the Estonian President of the Republic, Alaris, at the meeting of the Arraiolos team, where we will discuss timely issues of our time and our continent.

The Arraiolos team is made up of the presidents of the European Union countries who have the same system as Greece, namely the Republic. At this meeting every year since 2003, we will discuss burning issues, such as the challenge of artificial intelligence, European security issues and of course developments in the Middle East. The first meeting of the Synod will be devoted to the challenges of artificial intelligence that is developing very rapidly, and I will have the opportunity to the ten other fellow European presidents of the European Union, to expose the progress our country in this field, especially in this field.

The next meeting is dedicated to the serious situation in the Middle East, and of course the discussions that will take place will be dedicated to yesterday’s agreement between Israel and Hamas, which implements the first phase of President Trump’s plan for a ceasefire, increased humanitarian aid and return. Greece welcomes this agreement, and we hope that this agreement will be the precursors of the final end of the war and finally peace in this area.

The latest meeting of the present meeting will be dedicated to issues related to the geopolitical and security of Europe, which must be further strengthened and included, as is reasonable, all the European borders. And this becomes even more urgent, after a number of years now, an unexpected attack by Russia on Ukraine, which is continuing. Greece, as it is known, supports Ukraine in every way possible and can only do exactly that, having its very traumatic experience for 51 years of Turkish illegal invasion and occupation of about 40%of Cyprus.

Yesterday, the President of the Republic Constantine A. Tasoulas, along with the European Heads of State, attended a dinner given by the Estonian president. On the sidelines of the official dinner he had a brief ceremonial meeting with Austrian Republic President Alexander van der Bellen.
