The Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis is in Brussels, for his meetings Eurogroup and Ecofin.
At the Ecofin meeting today, Tuesday 10 December, there will be a debate on the revision of the Energy Taxation Directive and a progress report on the reform of EU customs legislation will be presented.
Ministers will also be informed about the progress of the implementation of the Recovery Fund and will approve the revised national plans of Belgium, Denmark, Slovenia and Sweden. The agenda also includes discussions on the implementation path of the revised economic governance framework that entered into force on 30 April 2024, on the economic impact of the war in Ukraine and on the Annual Report of the European Court of Auditors on the implementation of the EU Budget for the year 2023.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Mr. Hatzidakis will have meetings with European officials.
