Of the 332 Municipalities, 127 have completed their registration in the Register to date – 4 of the 13 Regions have been registered
The registration of public entities in the Register of Persons Obliged to Submit an Annual Income File for the Prefilling and Submission of personal income tax returns continues intensively until today. It is noted that in the last few days the rate of registrations in the Register by the obliged entities has increased significantly, as emphasized in an announcement by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance.
At the same time, it is noted that in the event that the initial registration of each organization in the Registry is not carried out by the deadline, fines of 2,500 euros will be imposed on the responsible persons.
It is recalled that public sector entities must register in the Registry by January 15, 2025 on the “myAADE” digital portal of the Independent Public Revenue Authority (A.A.D.E.). On the platform, the responsible persons of each organization are also obliged to declare the correct and timely sending of the required data for the pre-completion of the tax returns.
The Ministry of National Economy and Finance, from November 19, 2024, has proceeded in 5 cycles of information and communication with the competent bodies and their supervisees, regarding the procedure and the obligation to register in the Registry.

Indicatively, as far as the Local Government bodies are concerned, of the 332 Municipalities of the Territory, 127, i.e. 38.25%, have completed their registration in the Register to date. Whereas, as far as the Regions are concerned, 4 out of 13 have completed their registration.
