The heirs of Silvio Santos (1930-2024) revealed in a lawsuit against the government of São Paulo the total value of the fortune left by the businessman and presenter, who died in August 2024.
The reason for the fight was the payment of a tax of R$17 million, which is charged to release R$429 million from Silvio Santos, who are abroad. The São Paulo court has already granted an injunction until a final decision is made.
Iris Abravanel, widow of Silvio Santos, and the presenter’s daughters — Patrícia Abravanel, Rebeca Abravanel, Cintia Abravanel, Silvia Abravanel, Daniela Beyruti and Renata Abravanel — say that Silvio’s total fortune is R$6.4 billion.
The amount is cited by the law firm that defends the family in the action against the São Paulo government and in documents of the action, obtained by the column and signed by the heirs. The court denied secrecy in the case.
Today, there are two actions in force: one in which the assets left by him are declared, and another, referring to taxes on the transfer of assets. It is this second one that has caused the Abravanel family the most headaches.
According to the family document, the value of the inventory is concentrated in six holdings: SS Participações (R$5.5 billion), Sisan Participações (R$868 million), Sisan Empreendimentos (2.6 million), Hemusa Participações (R$ 1.8 million), Hemusa Empreendimentos (R$464 thousand) and DPR (R$10.7 million).

The São Paulo Court wants to schedule a conciliation hearing, to find out if it is possible to reach an agreement between the parties that finalizes the two actions. There is still no date for when this might happen.
