The Deputy Minister of Development visited the Alexandroupolis Business Park and talked to management representatives, businessmen and employees
Visit to the Alexandroupolis Business Park, as part of the implementation of projects of the “New Industrial Parks” program funded by the recovery fund, was carried out by the Deputy Minister of Development Anna Mani-Papadimitriou.
Interventions to upgrade the park’s infrastructure include, inter alia, the construction of roads and rainwater networks, the upgrading of street lighting, the improvement of waste treatment and disposal systems, as well as the installation of advanced water management systems.
Ms Mani toured the park’s premises and talked with representatives of the Park Administration, with businessmen and workers, focusing on the challenges, needs and prospects for further development of industrial activity in the area.
Underlined the importance of upgrading industrial parksespecially in the region, as a key pillar of Mitsotakis’ strategy for a dynamic and durable economy, with balanced growth across the country.
In a statement, the Deputy Minister said: “Strengthening the country’s industrial base is not only a strategic choice, but a national necessity. Through the creation of modern infrastructure, we enhance production and employment, shaping a new productive model for the economy, based on industry and extroversion. As Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has pledged, no area of ​​our country will be left behind. Because this is exactly what fair and balanced development means: to have every region, every city, the ability to make use of its potential and comparative advantages, creating new jobs and improving the daily lives of citizens. “
