The European Commission presented the affordable action plan on Wednesday, which aims to reduce industry accounts and households by tens of billions of euros and accelerating the freedom of carbonate emissions of electricity markets.
According to Reuters, the Commission aims to save Europeans 45 billion euros ($ 47.25 billion) in 2025 and 260 billion euros ($ 273.03 billion) by 2040.
The Commission said it would consider investing in liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects as part of the plans for “direct cooperation” with reliable suppliers to try to reduce energy prices. In addition, it will try to concentrate LNG demand from European companies to help them secure long -term agreements.
In addition, the Commission will recommend the Member States to reduce electricity taxes as well as to increase control of gas markets.
