Student homes in the city of Kalamata are in miserable condition and at the same time rents are expensive.

As Katerina Angelakopoulou, from Pyrgos, president of the Ecotonists Association studying in the Speech Therapy Department and resides at home, despite the fact that there is a restaurant infrastructure, the fact that it is apparently deemed to be operated by Pyrgos.

At the same time in the summer, students have to leave their rooms and claim their introduction to the next academic year without being given that they will be accepted again.

The Student Home in Kalamata has a capacity for 200 people and serves the whole University of the Peloponnese where only 5,000 students study in Kalamata.

Based on the above, children who pass at the university, as long as they are not accepted in the Home either do not come to study or are invited to work as much as possible by their curriculum and if not possible, they burden the family budget with excessive rent.
