He met under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanassis, the Government Committee responsible for shaping the political and strategic objectives of fair development transition, in the context of the Plan of Fair Transition (SDAM) and the territorial plans of fair transition.
The aim of the meeting was to inform the members of the Commission on the strategic strategic framework for the fair transition to both European and national level as well as the progress of implementing the forecasts of the national strategy in areas that are more affected by the transition to an energy neutral economy.
Emphasis was placed on the course of the implementation of the approved DAM 2021-2027 program in the region of Western Macedonia, in the municipalities of Megalopolis, Tripoli, Gortynia and Ichalia of the Peloponnese Region as well as in the North Aegean, South Aegean and Crete Regions.
In addition, it was noted that under the revision of the DAM 2021-2027 program, which was submitted to the European Commission, the creation of a distinct STEP priority to support investment in strategic sectors (pure & efficient technologies, digital technologies, biotechnologies), taking into account new policies. for timely and effectively addressing modern challenges.
Members of the Government Committee were also informed of the course of utilization of resources available exclusively for Greece by the end of 2025, in the context of Pillar 3 (a loan facilitation mechanism of the public sector / PSLF) of EUR 314.4 million.
In particular, to date € 80.7 million from these resources have already been approved for projects for the benefit of the Region of Western Macedonia.
For the remaining amount of EUR 233.8 million on March 5, 2025, the DAM Strategic Planning Committee unanimously approved their following distribution by region, as informed by the Government Committee by DAM Special Service Commander Mr. Pelopidas Kalliris: EUR 110 million for the Region. EUR 63.8 million for the Peloponnese Region. EUR 20 million for the North Aegean Region. EUR 20 million for the South Aegean Region and EUR 20 million for the Region of Crete.
Finally, the Commission unanimously agreed to continue the provision of appropriate incentives for the benefit of the DAMA areas, with the ultimate goal of supporting the successful implementation of the political and strategic objectives of the national planning for these areas.
