Revenue releases residual income tax lot; see if you will receive

The Federal Revenue opens, this Thursday (24), the consultation of the residual lot of refund of the Income Tax. R$ 210 million will be paid to 212,711 taxpayers who left the IR fine mesh of previous years.

To find out if you will receive, the taxpayer must access the website www.gov.br/receitafederal from 10 am. On the home page, under “Featured Services”, click on “Income tax refund inquiry”. On the next page, go to “Steps to perform this service”. Click on the blue arrow and access “Consult IRPF refund”.

On the next page, enter your CPF, date of birth and type the characters that appear on the screen. Then go to “Consult”. The CPF must be informed in full, including the check digit, without dots or dashes. Enter the date of birth with two digits for the day and month and four digits for the year.

The money will fall into the beneficiary’s account next Thursday (31). Of the BRL 210 million to be paid, BRL 80.7 million goes to taxpayers who have legal priority, with 2,790 elderly people over 80 years old, 21,540 taxpayers between 60 and 79 years old, 2,199 with some physical or mental disability or serious illness and 7,542 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching.

There will also be the payment of amounts to 178,730 non-priority taxpayers, who do not fit into any of the rules established by law.

The consultation of the amount released can also be done through the statement processing extract, accessed on the e-CAC (Virtual Service Center of the Federal Revenue Service). There, it is also possible to check the errors in the declaration to make the rectification, if the taxpayer is not in this batch.

How to pay

Payment of the refund is made directly to the bank account informed in the IR declaration delivered by the taxpayer. This year, however, there will be a novelty for those who declare the IRPF 2022: the release of the refund amounts can be made by Pix.

If, for some reason, the credit is not carried out, when there are cases of deactivated accounts, for example, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil. In this case, the citizen can reschedule the refund credit on the BB Portal, at the address https://www.bb.com.br/irpf, or call the BB relationship center to get the money, on the phones 4004-0001 ( capitals), 0800-7290001 (other locations) and 0800-7290088 (special telephone exclusively for the hearing impaired).

If the taxpayer does not redeem the refund within one year, he must make the request on the e-CAC portal, under “Declarations and Statements” in “My Income Tax”. Click on “Request a refund not redeemed in the banking network”.
