The Minister of Rural Development and Food, Costas Tsiaras In collaboration with the Secretary-General of Union Resources and Infrastructure, Dimitris Papayannidis, they announce the issuance of the 1st Call for Submission of Support Applications for the intervention “P3-73-2.3-Support for investments in the processing/ marketing and/ or development of agricultural products” 20.

The purpose of the intervention “P3-73-2.3-Support for investment in processing/ marketing and/ or development of agricultural products” is to increase the added value of productsto cover the country needs In processed quality products and the increase in the potential of penetration into international markets, by exploiting the raw material of primary production, the integration of innovation, the development of environmental methods and processes that limit the phenomenon of climate change. Conservation and job creation is crucial in supporting investment, contributing to social stability and economic development both locally and nationally as well as protecting human health.

In this context, support is granted to processing businesses agricultural products When the outcome of their processing is also agricultural, in standardization of marking agricultural products (national and union standards) as well as in companies involved in contracts.

Beneficiaries of intervention are: Legal Entities: OE, EU, Ltd, SA IKE, Individual Businesses, Agricultural Cooperatives, Agricultural Partnerships, Société Anonymes whose majority of shares belong to agricultural cooperatives, producer groups, producer organizations, producer organizations, producer organizations.

The most important conditions that the candidates must keep are as follows:

  • Not to be problematic businesses.
  • Be active in the processing / standardization of agricultural products.
  • To submit a timely application for support through the Integrated State Aid Information System (OPEC) within the deadlines set at the call for expressions of interest.

The intervention concerns applications for support with a budget requested from EUR 400,001,00 to EUR 5,000,000.00, co -financed by the European Union (European Agricultural Fund of Rural Development – EGTAA) and the Greek State (Development Program of Public Investment – APA). The total amount provided for funding of the intervention amounts to approximately EUR 135,000,000.00 and, depending on the number of proposals to be submitted, will be given.

In the small Aegean islands, as defined in the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 229/2013, the reinforcement tension is in 75% and concerns all the Aegean islands except Euboea and Crete.

In the Regions of Ionian, Crete, Thessaly and in the continental areas included in the territorial plans of fair transition (ECHR), that is, in the region of Western Macedonia and in the Municipalities of Megalopolis, Tripoli, Gortynia of the Regional Unit of Arcadia and the Regional Unity to 65%.

In the regions of the Peloponnese, except for the above four municipalities, and in the regions of Western Greece, Central Greece, Epirus, Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the aid tension is 50%.

In the Attica Region, the strengthening intensity is in the 40%.
