The project “Preventive Examinations in Remote Areas and National Program for Systematic Prenatal Control” is included in the Recovery and Resilience Fund, a comprehensive budget 4,970,865 eurosby decision of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanase and in cooperation with the Deputy Minister of Health, Irene Agapidakis.
Object of the project is the Free preventive examinations To citizens living in mountainous areas and islands with less than 10,000 permanent residents. The exams are all citizens, regardless of gender or age (eg children, elderly). In addition, the predicted examination and to pregnant as well as counseling regarding prenatal control.
The infrastructure of the existing Mobile Health Groups (KOMY) that operates by EDY will be used to implement the project. For the purposes of the project, the existing KOMI staff will be supported by doctors of Primary Health Care.

While, about 213,000 inhabitants reside in 38 mountainous areas with a population of less than 10,000. It is estimated that the population of pregnant women in these areas is approximately 4,700.
