The General Index in March 2025, compared to the February 2025 index, decreased 0.7% versus an increase of 1.3%
The General Import Price Index declined 2.5% in March this year, compared to the corresponding March 2024 index, compared to an increase of 1.3% in comparing the respective indicators in 2024 to 2023.
The General Index in March 2025, compared to the February 2025 index, declined 0.7% against a 1.3% increase in the comparison of the year’s indicators.
The Average General Index of April 12, 2024 – March 2025, compared to the average General Index of April 2023 – March 2024, decreased 1.6% compared to 11.6% in the corresponding comparison of the previous Twelve months.
According to ELSTAT, this increase in the so -called “import inflation” is due to:
- The reduction of the import prices from countries outside the eurozone by 3.6%.
- Reduction of the eurozone import rates by 0.2%.
