Sanctions are turned against companies and persons supporting the Russian army, energy exports and Kremlin propaganda
New sanctions aimed at Russia’s defense and financial sector has been imposed by the United Kingdom on Tuesday, coordinated with the European Union that today approved the 17th package of sanctions against Moscow, while the United States refuses to increase the pressures on the Kremlin.
The 100 new penalties imposed by the British Foreign Ministry, Commonwealth and Development and Development are turning against companies and individuals who support Moscow’s military efforts, Russian energy exports and Kremlin propaganda, as well as at the expense of financial funding.
The United Kingdom will also impose sanctions on the expense of 18 additional ships of the “shadow fleet” carrying Russian oil, while in discussions with their partners to tighten the cost of selling Russian oil.
“We have made it clear that the delay in peacekeeping efforts will simply intensify our determination to help Ukraine defend and use our sanctions to limit Putin’s war machine,” British Foreign Minister David said.
He added that Vladimir Putin “shows his real face, war” with unmanned aircraft attacks on Saturday against Ukraine, in which a bus was hit by Sumi, where nine citizens lost their lives.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski, following a telephone conversation with the Russian president and with his US counterpart Donald Trump who did not make any progress, accused Putin “of trying to buy time to continue the war”.
Despite Trump’s post on the Truth Social platform that “the tone and climate of the conversation were great”, the Kremlin then stated that the two leaders did not discuss the possible timetable for a ceasefire.
Also, in the telephone conversation he had after a conversation with Putin, Donald Trump with French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister George Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz and President of the European Ukraine.
Europeans have clarified that they intend to increase the pressure on the Kremlin through new sanctions if Putin continues to avoid negotiations, while Donald Trump told reporters that he did not intend to impose new sanctions as “there is a chance”.
