Eleven (11) investment schemes expressed interest in the competition for the exploitation of the property “Camping and Camping of Poseidi Kalandra”, of approximately 129 acres, located in Posidi, of the Municipal Unit of Kalandra, in the Municipality of Kassandra of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki, such as the Central Municipality of Halkidiki.

In particular, the following shapes were interesting (in alphabetical order):

The first phase of the competition will be completed by the evaluation of the submitted of interest and the default of the candidates who will continue in the second phase, in which interested parties will be invited to submit financial bids.

A special spatial development plan (ESCADA) has been prepared for the property, which provides for the placement of tourism – leisure zone throughout the property. The ESCADA and the Strategic Environmental Impact Study (SBC) will be approved by a presidential decree in accordance with applicable law.

The property is in contact with residential and holiday settlements (Posidi, Kalandra, Skala Fourkas) and within walking distance of several hotel complexes and other tourist facilities in the area of ​​Kalandra. It is 2.6 km from the coastal settlement of Poseidi, 5 km from Kalandra, 10 km from Skala Fourkas and about 25 km from Kassandria, which is the administrative seat of the Municipality of Kassandra.

Just 5 km is the archaeological site of the Temple of Poseidon, which is the oldest sanctuary of Neptune and functions as a landmark for the area. The landmark for the area are also the camps of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which has been operating in Kalandra, Halkidiki since 1960.
