Millionaires increased last year in the United States, where more than 379,000 people became a new million one in US dollars, more than 1,000 a day, according to a report published Wednesday.

Private private property increased by 4.6% worldwide, and over 11% in America, thanks to the US stable dollar and optimistic financial markets, UBS’s 2025 Global Wealth Report reports. The United States represented almost 40% of world millionaires in 2024, the Reuters news agency notes.

80% has property under $ 100,000

The wider China region – which the exhibition set up as mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan – was the first country for people with $ 100,000 to $ 1 million last year, representing 28.2%, followed by Western Europe with 25.4%and North America.

However, the majority of people worldwide were below this threshold, with over 80% of adults in the UBS sample having a property of less than $ 100,000.

Overall, about 1.6% recorded a net value of $ 1 million or more, according to the report.

In the next five years, the Swiss bank predicts that average wealth per adult will increase further, led by the United States and, to a lesser extent, the wider China.
