Panel SA: Magalu partners to rent drill and fridge

Housi, a short and medium season rental company, announced a partnership with Magalu to rent home appliances and electronics.

In the initial phase, tenants in São Paulo will be able to rent goods such as a minibar, microwave and vacuum cleaner for periods from one week to 30 days or hire products for specific situations, such as a drill, sound box, video game, among others.

All the logistics for the delivery and removal of the equipment will be carried out by Magalu, who hopes to expand the service to more than 20 capitals.

According to the retailer, the products belong to a stock that will be replaced as the useful life comes to an end.

The CEO of Housi, Alexandre Frankel, says that the idea is circular economy.

The target audience is young people living in large urban centers, who rent smaller spaces and are more conscientious about consumption.

Vinícius Porto, director of customer experience at Magalu, says the project is focused on items with high disbursement and low frequency of use.

“It is for those who want to test a product before purchasing or will only use it for a limited time”, says the director of the retailer.
