The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) signed today with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the areas of international trade, customs policy and business extroversion.
The Memorandum provides for a number of initiatives that modernize and upgrade the existing cooperation of the two bodies. Among other things, they are launched:
- Digital interconnection through the Single Window of AADE and integration of relevant information into the AGORA Digital Gate.
- Providing foreign trade statistics for more targeted actions enhancing competitiveness.
- Information events and educational programs for bodies and businesses.
- Education and exchange of know -how between Foreign Ministry executives and AADE.
- Coordination internationally, with the aim of seamlessly trafficking in goods and boosting international representation.
Deputy Foreign Minister Haris Theocharis described the memorandum “an important step in a more competitive and strong commercial Greece”. For his part, AADE Governor George Pitsilis noted that “cooperation creates a model of institutional partnership in the public sector, with multiple benefits for the economy”.
The signing of the Memorandum is part of the Commerce Facility Road Charter 2022-2026, and is part of the actions of the Government Committee to facilitate trade, co-ordinated by the Secretary General of the GGDE, Dimitris Skalkos.
As he pointed out, “the co -operation of the Foreign Ministry – AADE confirms the will of the two sides to actively contribute to the support of extrovert entrepreneurship and to improve the country’s commercial environment.”
