Loans and loans increased in June, according to data from the Bank of Greece.

According to these items, Deposits from households and businesses increased by 697m eurosagainst a increase of EUR 356 million last month and the annual rate of change stood at 3.1% from 3.2% last month.

Overall Private sector deposits increased by EUR 5,099 billionin June 2025, compared to a increase of EUR 1, 222 billion in the previous month, while the annual rate of change increased to 5.3% from 4.8% last month.

This development reflects the increase in business deposits by € 4.4 billion compared to an increase of EUR 867 million last month and the annual change rate rose to 12.0% from 9.8% in the previous month.

In particular, non -financial firms (MXE) deposits increased by EUR 4,363 billion, compared to an increase of EUR 666 million last month. Deposits of insurance companies and other financial institutions increased by EUR 40 million, compared to an increase of EUR 200 million last month.

State deposits (General Government) increased by € 1.5 billion compared to an increase of € 302 million last month, and the annual change rate rose to 34.4% from 15.2% in the previous month.

Loans

In the lending side, the monthly net flow of funding to businesses in June 2025 was positive by EUR 2,356 billion, compared to a positive net flow of EUR 471 million last month, while the annual rate of change decreased to 15.8% from 17.5% in the previous month.

In particular, the annual rate of change in non -financial funding (MSE) decreased to 15.9% from 17.4% in the previous month. The monthly net flow of their funding was positive by EUR 2,021 billion, against a positive net flow of € 204 million last month. The annual rate of change in funding for insurance companies and other financial institutions decreased to 15.2% from 18.2% last month.

The monthly net flow of their funding was positive by EUR 335 million, compared to a positive net flow of € 267 million last month.

On the contrary, the monthly net flow of funding to individuals and private non -profit institutions in June 2025, against a positive net flow of € 53 million last month, was negative.

The annual rate of change in their funding stood at -0.5% from -0.1% last month.

Overall, the annual rate of change in total private sector funding decreased to 10.2% from 11.3% last month. The monthly net flow of total funding to the private sector was positive by EUR 2,340 billion, compared to a positive net flow of € 518 million last month.

The monthly net flow of total funding was positive by EUR 2, EUR 247 billion in June 2025, against a positive net flow of € 298 million last month.
