In view of the meeting of the Government Economic Policy on Tuesday, August 5th, Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakos met today with the President of the Association of Business and Industry (BSE), Spyros Theodoropoulos, in the context of the dialogue with the institutional partners and the institutional partners.
The focus was to promote reforms and policies to simplify the business environment. Particular emphasis was placed on accelerating licensing procedures, to attract and implement even more investment and the creation of new jobs.
Proposals were also discussed to tackle high energy costs in industry, in support of business competitiveness and production.
The march of the new development law was also implemented at the meeting. Already, the first three regimes have been announced – a total budget of € 450 million – while the autumn will be activated to enhance social entrepreneurship, extroversion and new technologies.
Finally, proposals for the new framework for strategic investment were also discussed, with the aim of improving the procedures for boosting investment projects with high added value for the economy.
