Inflation increased in July at 3.1% from 2.8% in June, according to ELSTAT.

The comparison of the July 2025 General CPA with the corresponding July 2024 index increased 3.1% against a growth of 2.7% in the corresponding comparison of 2024 to 2023.

In July 2025, the General PDC, compared to June 2025, declined 0.4%, compared to a decrease of 0.7%, which occurred in the corresponding comparison of the previous year.

The August 2024 – July 2025, August 2025, compared to the corresponding index of August 2023 – July 2024, increased by 2.6%, compared to 2.8% in August 2023 – July 2023 – July 2023 – July 2023 2023.

Comparison of July 2025 to June 2025

The reduction of the General DTP by 0.4% in July 2025, compared to the corresponding Index of June 2025, came mainly from the changes in the following groups of goods and services:

From the reductions of indicators by:

• 21.5% in the clothing and footwear group due to general summer discounts.
• 1.1% in the team’s constant household goods and services due to general summer discounts.
• 0.5% in the leisure-cultural activities, mainly due to a decrease in prices in information processing equipment.
• 0.9% in the group other goods and services, due to general summer discounts and a decrease in prices in other types of individual care.

By increases in indicators by:

• 0.8% in the Nutrition and Non-Alcoholic Drink Group, due to rising prices in: beef, poultry, fresh fish, olive oil, fresh vegetables, sugar-chocolates-gluts-freezes, other foods, coffee. Part of this increase was offset by the reduction of prices mainly in: pasta, dairy and eggs.
• 1.8% in the housing group, due to increased prices in: Home rentals, electricity, gas.
• 1.8% in the transport group, due to rising prices in: fuel and lubricants, passenger transport tickets.
• 0.7% in the hotels-brown-restaurant team, mainly due to prices in: Restaurants-pastry shops-columns, brothel-panties.

Comparison of July 2025 with July 2024

The increase in the General DTP by 3.1% in July 2025, compared to the corresponding July 2024 index, came from
mainly from the changes in the following groups of goods and services:

By increases in indicators by:

• 2.8% in the Nutrition and Non-Alcoholic Drink Group, mainly due to prices in: bread, other bakery and pastry products, meats (generally), fresh fish, yogurt, fruits (general), frozen vegetables, sugar-chocolates. Part of this increase was offset by the decrease mainly of prices in: pasta, olive oil.
• 1.8% in the group of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, due to rising prices in: alcoholic beverages (non -served), cigarettes.
• 8.4% in the clothing and footwear group due to rising prices in clothing and footwear.
• 6.6% in the housing group, due to increased prices in: Home rentals, home repair and maintenance, home -related services, electricity, gas. Part of this increase was offset by the decrease mainly of prices in: Heating oil, solid fuels.
• 2.0% in the Health Group, mainly raising prices in: medicinal products, medical products, medical, dental and paramedical services, hospital care.

• 0.6% in the group other goods and services, mainly due to raising prices in: Hairdressers and Personal Care Stores, Social Protection Services, Health Insurance Services, Other Services. Part of this increase was offset by the reduction of prices mainly in: other types of individual care, vehicle premiums.
