To October 8 extended the deadline for submitting of applications for greenhouses and vegetableas the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
The purpose of this intervention is to invest in the establishment and modernization of greenhouse to improve horticultural cultivation while simultaneously shifting to cultivation practices of higher value added, by increasing productivity of the cultivation method and the reduction of inputs per unit input.
Applications submitted by natural persons registered with the register of farmers and farms, as well as by legal entities and collective forms of agricultural cooperative law, are eligible.
The total budget is EUR 150 million and is co -financed by the European Agricultural Fund of Rural Development and Greece.
The requested budget (public expenditure and private participation) of the support applications must be at least 30,000 euros, while the ceilings of the total budget per investment plan and beneficiary will be specialized in the relevant invitation and will not exceed EUR 1 million.
It is emphasized that the support intensity varies depending on the type of expenditure, the place of investment and the investor status as follows:
1. 60% support intensity in the eligible costs of the following categories:
1.1. Cutting -edge technology equipment within eligible structures.
1.2. Hydrophone / Aviation Systems.
1.3. Purely electric motorcycles (tractors, collection engines, etc.)
2. 50% support intensity in the remaining eligible costs.
3. Ancillary by 10 percentage points, depending on the beneficiary’s seat, provided that the proportion of support does not exceed:
3.1. 70% for beneficiaries whose headquarters are located in the Aegean islands.
3.2. 65% for beneficiaries whose headquarters are in Thessaly, Evros IP and the Municipality of Domokos.
3.3. 65% for beneficiaries whose headquarters are in mainland areas included in the territorial plans of fair developmental transition (ESDIM).
4. For expense carried out by young farmers, regardless of the session of a holding, an increase in support intensity by 10 percentage points with maximum support intensity of 70%.
In addition, as announced by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, by September 30, 2025, the deadline for submitting electronic applications and files for investment in the processing, marketing and development of agricultural products is extended.
The decision was taken after cooperation with the Minister of Rural Development & Food, Costas Tsiaras, with the relevant Secretary General of Union Resources and Infrastructure, Argyro Zerva.
