The 8 axes comprises the bill of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security “Fair Work for All: Simplifying the Legislation-Protection-Protection in Practice”, which is currently being put into public consultation.

The aim of the bill is to modernize the working framework, simplify processes, reduce bureaucracy, support workers through shielding their rights, enhancing their job security, facilitating businesses, and shaping a transparent and modern work environment.

As the Ministry of Labor said in a statement, “in its formation, a number of improvements for workers, businesses and all national social partners, which even preceded a fruitful round of extensive dialogue, were taken into account during which relevant views were recorded.”

The eight main axes are as follows:

First Axis – Easy and Quick Recruitment:

* Completion of recruitment announcement with a document, instead of four.

* Digital employee file and notifications to Myergani.

* Myergani type application for employers.

* Fast Track Recruits via Mobile to work up to 2 days.

Second Axis – Reduce Bureaucracy:

* Forms such as licenses are removed.

* The printed form for documents kept electronically is no longer required.

* Consolidate policies for the prevention of violence, harassment and internal complaints.

* Digital Work Card:

* Flexible turnout ± 120 ‘

* Guaranteed preparation time.

Third Axis – Modernization of Labor Provisions:

* Overtime overtime in rotation, with 40%legal surcharges.

* Expanding the work capacity of up to 13 hours daily which already applies to 2 employers and to the same employer, with faithful observance of all employment and rest.

Fourth Axis – Employee Enhancement:

* Four -day work throughout the year, e.g. For parents.

* Extension of pregnancy/pregnancy allowance and in cases of employment to more than one employer.

* Parental allowance becomes irrelevant, tax -free and unmistakable.

* Greater freedom in the employee’s request for the distribution of the annual license.

* Protection from any reduction in remuneration after digital card – is considered a harmful change.

Fifth Axis – Enhancing Health and Safety at work:

* Occupational & Technical Security Practitioners are now recorded only in writing and electronically, for greater protection.

* Mandatory presence of security coordinators in significant technical projects.

* Provision for providing first aid seminars to employees.

* Recording professional diseases is upgraded.

* Creation of an integrated “IRIDANOS” system.

Sixth axis – harmonization with international ILO conventions for work:

* The bill raises three major international acts of the International Labor Organization, enhancing the country’s compliance with global standards.

Seventh Axis- Functional Strengthening of Labor Inspectorate:

* Sanctions for acts of violence or obstruction of checks are tightened.

* The overnight stays frame for more checks is modernized.

* Services and structures are enhanced.

Eighth axis- social security provisions:

* The exemption of surcharges from insurance contributions to overtime, overtime, nocturnal and holidays extends to overwork, overtime, nightclubs and public holidays provided for by collective agreements, as well as in surcharges granted by the employer.

* When a pensioner is entitled to an increase in his pension, the additional benefit will not lead to an increase in the ratio of the Solidarity Contribution Contribution (EAS).

* The Pensioners’ Organizations are given the opportunity to vote.
