The stock prices closed with a significant decline, though much of their initial losses were covered by the closure. The market has moved on a downward trajectory for a third consecutive meeting during which the basic stock market index records a total loss of 3.44%, while total market capitalization has decreased by 4.4 billion euros.

From high capitalization with a positive sign, the shares of Cyprus, OPAP and ELPE were closed today, while the shares of Alpha Bank, Aegean and GEK TERNA were over the most pressures.

The General Index closed at 2,043.27 points, down 1.28%. Intra-conference recorded lower price at 2,024.17 points (-2.20%) and a higher price at 2,077.70 points (+0.34%).

The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 222.21 million, with 38,324,232 shares.

The high capitalization index fell 1.35%, while the middle capitalization index fell 0.76%.

The titles

Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Cyprus (+0.78%), OPAP (+0.31%) and ELPE (+0.17%) rose.

On the contrary, the biggest decline was the shares of Alpha Bank (-3.51%), Aegean Airlines (-2.43%), GEK TERNA (-2.01%), Eurobank (-1.85%), Jumbo (-1.80%), Piraeus (-1.77%) (-1.74%).

The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 10,399,972 and 6,891,140 shares, respectively.

Alpha Bank with 35.96 million euros and National with EUR 32.64 million was the highest value of trading.

22 shares were up, 91 and 13 remained stable.

The shares rose the most: Leventeris (K) (+6.06%) and Mouzakis (K) (+5.56%).

The biggest decline was recorded by the shares: Xyloromy (P) (-5.88%) and Cekrops (-4.82%).
