The “tax basket” meets citizens’ expectations, said Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Vassilis Korkidis referring to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis TIF announcements.
In detail, Mr. Korkidis said:
The seventh presence of Prime Minister Mitsotakis at the 89th TIF came with a complex narrative, in a critical period of governance, since the time the government has to manage until the election is less than the one it has covered. The announcements of relief with a brave package of measures came to stay, in an attempt to reverse the negative climate and to lighten the fatigue of everyday life in society and the real economy. The cost of the basket may again be adjusted to the available budgetary margins of € 1.75 billion, but this year it is full, because it has resulted in as much as it, but almost for everyone, applying taxes for over 4 million taxpayers. The tax reform with the radical reform of the income tax scale, in fact, meets our expectations, as it attempts to correct injustices and distortions.
The interventions turned to tax, demographic, pension and housing, seeking to approach the middle class, families with children, young people, region, villages, acrimonious islands and especially border areas. The 2% reductions in all tax rates, the reduction of rents from 24%, the zero rate for young people up to 25 years, the low rate of 9% for young people up to 30 years, the 39% intermediate rate for incomes from 40,000-60,000 euros, the reductions of ENFIA and the EUR 30%, Sector of tax reform. The 50% reduction in 2026 and the abolition of personal difference in 2027 in pensions, coupled with a significant horizontal reduction in taxation, is obviously a solution to increasing the disposable income of social groups.
The prime minister in his speech referred to the great difficulties that households face in accuracy, and showed that he wishes to strengthen government relations with many business and professional groups, which are the spearhead of increasing employment and boosting investment. References to SMEs were confined to the primary sector, funding by the EAT, the national extroversion strategy, the simplification of processes in the industry, the construction of green ships in the ferry, starting with the ferry, as well as the entry of Greek companies into European programs.
The prime minister’s political messages have revolved in the reconstitution of political manipulations, accelerating government delays and generally the corrections of errors and pathogens either by restarting or by partial re -approaching problems. He also referred to the importance of government credibility, defense security, economic and political stability, raising specific risks that can even threaten strong countries such as France.
Finally, he highlighted the 2030 horizon, through which he photographed the three major energy, health and education reforms, which require wider consensus. Following the presentation of the General Framework of the new tax reform by the Financial Staff, we will be able to analyze the benefit of the available income for the majority of Greek society.
