Henrique Meirelles took another step in defining his political future this Saturday (2). He joined the União Brasil.
The move comes after leaving his post at the Secretariat of Finance and Planning of the current government of Rodrigo Garcia, this Friday (1st), and announcing that he gave up running for the Senate in Goiás for the PSD, an intention he cultivated for many months.
The hypotheses for the ex-Minister of Finance and ex-President of the Central Bank in these elections are still open.
The name of Meirelles, who in 2018 ran for the presidency and this year received a role in the campaign team of the toucan João Doria, also entered the table as a hypothesis of vice in the candidacy of Rodrigo Garcia for the government of the state of São Paulo.
