The establishment of the Helleniq Energy’s Hydrocarbon Consortium has been set up yesterday by the Committee of Bids submitted yesterday for hydrocarbon research by the Helleniq Energy Consortium.

It is recalled that the consortium submitted bids for the maritime areas “Block A2”, “South of the Peloponnese”, “South of Crete 1” and “South of Crete 2”.

The composition of the Evaluation Committee is as follows:

President: Dr. Aristophanes Stefatos, Managing Director and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of EDEEP. Deputy President Dionysios Goutis, General Manager of EAGME and member of the Board of Directors of GEOTEE

Member: Dr. Michael Hadjitofi, an independent non -executive member of the Board of Directors of EDOEP. Deputy Dr. Spyridon Papaefthimiou, Professor of the School of Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete, and President of the Hellenic Society of Energy Economics.

Member: Dr. Efthimios Tartaras, Head of Department of Geosciences and Advisor of Administration of EDEEP. Vasiliki Zavlaga, Deputy Head of Hydrocarbons of the General Secretariat for Energy and Minerals of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

Member: Dr. Spyridon Bellas, main researcher and president of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Geo -Energy, and former Vice President of EDEEP. Deputy Dr. George Tsifoutidis, Head of the Department of Geothermal of the General Secretariat for Energy and Minerals of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

Member: Dr. Ioannis Vakalas, Assistant Professor of Hydrocarbons Geology of the School of Metallic-Metallurgies of the National Technical University of Athens. Alternate member Dr. Konstantinos Tzimas, Senior Research Advisor to EDEP.

Commission Secretaries: Olga Theodora Kakkava, Legal Advisor of EDEP and Dr. George Makrodimitras, Geologist-Inspector, Scientific Associate of EDEEP.

Upon completion of the evaluation, EDEEP will submit to the Ministry of Environment and Energy its recommendation to follow the foreseen steps.
