The wholesale electricity rates across Europe on Monday have exploded, with energy stock markets being “blushed”.
Increases are mainly linked to the prevailing weak winds, which have hunted the production of wind energy.
On the Greek Energy Stock Exchange, the next day prices have been ejected at 141.58 euros per megawatt.
The sharp rise also makes it difficult for October tariff prices, as after a short balancing time the market is pulling the uphill again.
The average price per megawatt in September is € 90.99 from 73.73 euros in August.
Increases up to 130%
Larger daily increases are in Latvia and Lithuania with a rise of 130.7%.
Following are Estonia with 1015 and Austria with 55.8%.
Smaller increases occur in Irlandia with +1.9% and Italy with +18.2%.
How much do RES contributes
The contribution of RES to the production of energy in our country is small due to weak winds and limited sunshine.
Wind power production decreased in Greece by 51.2% on Sunday.
Correspondingly, the decrease in solar energy production amounted to 44.8%.
