A ministerial decision signed by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Niki Kerameos, a program is drawn up for the recruitment of 5,000 unemployed, over 50 years of age, in private sector businesses through the Public Employment Service (DIPA).

The Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameos said: “In the Ministry of Labor and Social Security we consider the right to work top. For this reason, we are constantly developing and implementing programs to enhance employment, with particular emphasis on age groups facing more difficulty entering the labor market. By enhancing the employment of 5,000 unemployed, we are actively helping to strengthen businesses looking for experienced staff while vulning every age -exclusion and ensuring equal access to the labor market without discrimination. “

The purpose of the program is to create 5,000 new jobs, full -time, with the recruitment of the unemployed, over 50 years of age in private sector businesses.

Beneficiaries of the program are private businesses and general employers who regularly engage in economic activity and are active throughout the country.

The grant amount of each beneficiary on a monthly basis depending on the category of the unemployed as follows:

The total budget of the action for the years 2025,2026,2027 and 2028 amounts to EUR 73,746,000.
