The launch of the payment process to farmers and farmers was placed in time for next week by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Costas Tsiaras, pointing out that the delays are due to the implementation of a new, rigorous system of controls imposed by the European Commission in order to secure the payment of the European Commission.

Mr Tsiaras, in his interviews at the Open, Action24 and Realnews radios, stressed that the government “is forced to follow all that will help us to go to OPEKEPE at another era, in a time of transparency and justice, that there will be no question”. As he pointed out, the incorporation of actual cross -checks before each payment “is not an easy process, as specialization and time is needed, since we have dozens of different payments from OPEKEPE”. The minister noted that the European Commission now requires the completion of these audits “before any payment, so as not to repeat phenomena of the past” and added: “I understand that honest producers, farmers and breeders are going through a difficult time because they have stopped payments. But I would like to assure them that this is to keep the flow of European money alive and not risk the country’s ability to receive subsidies from Europe. “

Referring to the timetable of the forthcoming payments, Kostas Tsiaras emphasized that “payments will slowly start slowly, with the first payment for old organic- for agriculture and beekeeping”.

According to the minister, they will follow:

Festivities for the feed, which relate to breeders “who were forced to keep their animals in their farms because of the blessing”,
Payment for fertile materials, which relate to “farms that could not be cultivated due to Daniel Thessaly”.
“Payments will start next week, and if there is no problem, from October 15 they will have a flow by the end of October with the other two payments I mentioned,” he said. In the meantime, it will also be attempted to pay compensation for the killed animals due to smallpox, which – as he noted – “is a significant relief for a large number of breeders”. At the same time, Mr Tsiaras also referred to Measure 23, stressing that “we are in the process of examining objections and I would like to believe that the proposal will go complete to OPEKEPE in order to follow the checking process and make the payment”. Concerning the basic aid, he noted that the aim is “to get the payment of basic aid in November, which will also support ELGA’s payments, as the basic withholding in favor of ELGA is paid by the basic aid. All of these payments have a suffocating timetable – they must be made within the year, “he said.

At the same time, Mr Tsiaras pointed out that the government assumes the responsibility of it, but is realizing a timeless pathogenesis. “I will not deny the responsibility that the government may have, but I will not accept that this is not a timeless weakness with inter -party responsibility. It is the first time that a great effort has been made to clear OPECEPE’s issues and this is done by this government. ” And he concluded: “If you would ask me if I should be useful or just liked, I would obviously prefer the first. The choices we make are to keep the Greek primary sector durable, vibrant and viable. “

Referring to the sheep and goats, the minister said the ministry had allocated more than 150 veterinarians in collaboration with the Regions, and it has been requested to reinforce policing to implement bio -security measures: “We have asked the Ministry of Citizen Protection to the Citizenship. We have also requested that the judicial authorities be dealing with issues related to non -compliance with security terms. ” The minister concluded with the pointing that everyone’s cooperation is necessary. “If we do not work together and do not find ourselves on the same side, we will not be able to deal with the disease,” he said.
