Earlier this year, a 19-year-old teenager caught the attention of Elon Musk, and the world, after creating a Twitter account in which he tracks his jet, the nicknamed ElonJet.
According to a CNN report from the United States, the founder of Tesla offered US$ 5,000 (R$ 27,000) to stop young Jack Sweeney, who would have rejected and asked for US$ 50,000.
There was no deal, and Sweeney, who uses public tools associated with a robot, remains an internet celebrity and continues to monitor dozens of jets. In his latest project he began monitoring the jets of Russian oligarchs and Vladimir Putin.
In parallel, the Sweeney projects serve as inspiration for other initiatives. In one of them, a digital currency based on the ElonJet meme was launched. According to the creators, a Tesla car will be purchased for the teenager when the cryptocurrency reaches sufficient capitalization.
According to Business Insider, the challenge is to make that happen, as the meme’s currency would have to reach a market value of $10 million. Currently, it is no more than $20,000 — there are people trading.
According to the official ElonJet Coin website, the “meme cryptocurrency” was inspired by other meme coins on the market.
