Stock prices closed slightly lower in the first session of the week, with the market closing just above the “psychological barrier” of 2,000 points.

The General Price Index closed at 2,002.91 points, down 0.42%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 2,025.28 points (+0.69%) and a lower price at 1,999.71 points (-0.58%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 176.68 million euros, while 30,689,310 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.52%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.47%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Cyprus (+2.56%), Motor Oil (+1.43%) and PPC (+1.16%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Alpha Bank (-2.84%), Piraeus (-2.06%), PPA (-1.22%), Metlen (-1.18%) and Coca Cola HBC (-1.00%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 8,737,955 and 7,486,212 shares, respectively.

Alpha Bank recorded the highest value of transactions with 30.59 million euros and National Bank with 26.35 million euros.

63 stocks moved up, 50 fell and 11 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Ilyda (+6.04%) and Daios Plastics (+4.29%).

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Doppler (-4.83%) and Lanakam (k) (-4.05%).
