The NBA announced the top players of the first week for the season 2025-26.
THE Giannis Antetokounmpo he stood out with his impressive performances and stood out Player of the Week in Eastern Regionwhile at West the same distinction was received by Victor Webanyama.
The NBA’s official statement reads: “San Antonio Spurs forward-center Victor Webaniyama and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo named NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 1 of the 2025-26 season (Oct. 21–26)”.
THE Antetokounmpo put up impressive numbers, averaging 36 points (62.9% shooting, 68.3% shooting from the field and 66.7% from three), 16 rebounds (11.3 defensive – 4.7 offensive), 7 assists, 1 block and 0.7 steals in 32.6 minutes of action per game. The Bucks started the year with a 2-1 record.
On his part, Mr Webanyama also got off to an impressive start, averaging 33.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 6 blocks per game, leading them Spurs in three winning results (3-0).
