Specifically, for the employees of the private sector who have joined the Employment Enhancement Mechanism “SYN-ERGASIA” within the year 2021 is paid by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, based on the current regulatory framework, a proportion of the leave allowance, calculated on the basis of short-term work.
The proportion of the leave allowance for each month of integration of the employees in the Mechanism “SYN-ERGASIA” is 1/25 on the financial support of short-term work of the beneficiary employees.
Therefore, for the calculation on an annual basis of the amount paid to each employee, the period of his / her membership in the Mechanism and the amounts of the financial aid for short-term work are taken into account.
Taking into account the above and the scheduling of payments, the payment of the proportion of the leave allowance to the eligible employees by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will take place within January 2022, after the completion of the submission of declarations (AD and B phase) by the companies-employers for the inclusion of their employees in the Mechanism for the month of December 2021.
