Panel SA: American retail giant ends shopping hours for seniors in pandemic

by

After more than two years, the American supermarket giant Costco decided to end the special hours reserved to serve elderly customers in the pandemic. The schedule returns to normal next Monday (18).

In addition to customers aged 60 and over, the network reserved time for health professionals and first responders.

The company’s orientation now is that consumers who do not want to go to the supermarket at normal hours do their shopping online.

Last July, the company even announced that it would end the measure, but it backed off when the contagion accelerated again.
