On the Tuesday of Fat Week will eventually open the online platform for fuel subsidiesaccording to information from skai.gr.
Although the Ministry of Digital Government is technically ready to launch the platformwill postpone it until after Easter because of the holiday tablesas even if the applications of the beneficiaries are submitted, the issuance of the digital card (voucher) will not be possible.
It is noted that the application process it will be very simple.
The beneficiary after authentication with Taxisnet personal codeswill enter the application that will be available at gov.gr and will request either the issuance of the digital debit card and the credit of the money in it or the credit in the bank account.
The applicant will supplement and update the contact details and in particular his e-mail address, his mobile phone number and his bank account number.
To verify his datathe application information system will interact with the Tax Registry and the Car Registry of AADE to control the ownership of private use of vehicle and motorcycle, insurance and payment of road taxes.
Upon completion of the beneficiary’s application and if the criteria are met, the beneficiary’s details will be transmitted to the bank in particular the name, surname, e-mail address and mobile phone number, which are necessary for the issuance of the digital card.
Subsequently, the amount on the credit or debit card will be credited and can be used exclusively by the beneficiary for the purchase of fuel, while any transfer to a third party or its withdrawal is not possible.
It is reminded that according to an amendment that has been voted in Parliament, for those who use the digital prepaid card a bonus of up to 5 euros is provided in fuel subsidy.
Beneficiaries and amount of subsidy
Beneficiaries of the petrol subsidy are any natural person, including self-employed persons, who are tax residents of Greece with a declared family income of fiscal year 2020 up to 30,000 eurosto cover part of the cost of fuel consumption in April, May and June 2022.
The financial support for the quarter April-June will amount to a total of the following amounts:
a) 50 euro for beneficiaries – owners of vehicles (excluding motorcycles – mopeds) with main residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Peripheral Unit of Islands of the Attica Region and in the Peripheral Unit of the Sporades Region
b) 40 euros for beneficiaries – owners of vehicles (excluding motorcycles – mopeds) with main residence in the rest of Greece,
c) 35 euros for beneficiaries – owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Regional Unit of Islands of the Attica Region and in the Regional Unit of Sporades of the Region of Thessaly, and
d) 30 euros for beneficiaries – owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece.
According to the regulation, each vehicle and motorcycle – moped can be declared by a single natural person, who also has full ownership or co-ownership or is a lessee under a leasing contract. It is noted that each natural person can declare only one vehicle and a motorcycle – moped. A prerequisite is that the motorcycle-moped vehicle is in circulation, is insured and does not owe traffic fees.
About the digital debit card to be issued, will remain activated until 31.7.2022 and after that, it will be removed. The remaining balance of it is returned to the Greek State and its further search by the beneficiary is excluded.
A joint decision of the Ministers of Finance, Development and Investment and Digital Government determines the start time and any other necessary details for the implementation of this, while the same decision may increase the amount of aid up to 5 euros for beneficiaries who choose the use of a digital debit card.
