The MPF (Federal Public Ministry) is going to take part in the case of the crash of the twin-engine plane that caused the death of singer Marília Mendonça and four other people this month. The agency instituted an administrative procedure to monitor the investigation of the circumstances of the tragedy.
The concern is with air traffic safety, because the aircraft hit a cable in the electricity distribution tower in the interior of Minas Gerais.
Days after the accident, the Minas Gerais Civil Police found a cable wrapped around one of the propellers, and Cemig, the state energy company, confirmed that the plane hit the equipment, which was outside the protection zone of the aerodrome in the municipality of Caratinga (MG ).
