Brazil Aid starts to be paid this Wednesday (17th) to those who already received the Bolsa Família. Those who still do not know what the exact amount of their new benefit will be can resolve their doubts through the program’s official application, through Caixa Tem or even through the Caixa de Atendimento, on telephone 111.
This Tuesday (16), Caixa, which is the bank responsible for payment, announced that the Auxílio Brasil application can now be downloaded to your cell phone. For those who already have the Bolsa Família app installed, just update it through the cell phone’s app store.
The new aid provides for the payment of a basic amount and up to six extras. In addition to the basic income (R$65 or R$130 per person, depending on the family composition), it is possible for each family to receive complementary benefits, which vary between R$100 and R$200.
See how to consult
To check if you will receive and what the amount will be, the beneficiary must have the CPF or NIS (Social Identification Number) number in hand.
Through the Auxílio Brasil (or Bolsa Família) app, available for Android and iOS:
- open the app
- Enter with login and password — it could be the password that was already used in the Bolsa Família or Caixa Tem app. If you don’t have any of them, you need to register
- Select the option to consult the benefit
Through the Caixa de Atendimento, on telephone 111:
- Choose option 1 for Brazil Aid
- You will need to provide a CPF number or NIS; choose option 1 to enter CPF or option 2 for NIS
- The recording will say whether the citizen will receive the benefit or not
Through the Caixa Tem application:
- Access the application with the CPF number and password
- On the home screen, select the ‘Bolsa Família’ option
- The automatic service will locate the benefit through the CPF or NIS informed in the registration
Payment
The money will be paid following the Bolsa Família calendar, according to the final number of the NIS. This Wednesday, families with final NIS 1 receive, on Thursday (18), those with final NIS 2 will have access to the money, and so on.
Beneficiaries will receive through the same payment method that they received the old benefit. Thus, those who received through Caixa Tem, in the digital savings account, continue to be able to move the money through the application.
Withdrawals can be made with the Bolsa Família card, until a new card is issued, at Caixa branches and lotteries.
The government of Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) even said that the minimum installment of Auxílio Brasil would be R$ 400. However, according to the Ministry of Citizenship, the average amount will be R$ 217.18 per registration. At Bolsa Família, this amount was R$184.30.

Updated Single File
It is worth remembering that families who meet the requirements to receive Brazil Aid must be registered in CadÚnico to try to receive the money. From there, the Ministry of Citizenship will select new beneficiaries for the program on a monthly basis.
If the citizen meets the requirements, he must keep the CadÚnico data updated in order to receive the installments. Likewise, the folder evaluates every month which beneficiaries no longer meet the criteria and will no longer be entitled to payment.
However, the application does not represent a guarantee that you will receive the benefit, it only indicates that the family is included on a waiting list.
