Thousands of citizens change “tax house”, as the competent ministry decided their local redefinition according to the Postal Code of their residence.

The changes concern 52 areas in all of Greece.

The announcement in more detail:

In order to continuously upgrade the operation of the Tax Administration, for the better service of taxpayers, the territorial competence of the following tax offices is redefined:

A ‘, D’, ΙΒ ‘, ΙΓ’ and ΙΖ ‘Athens, Agioi Anargyroi, Egaleo, Maroussi, Nea Ionia, Peristeri, Cholargos, Psychiko, Elefsina, A’, D ‘, E’ and G ‘Thessaloniki, Ampelokipi and Ionia Thessaloniki, Kalamaria, Lagada, Kilkis, Polygyros, Argos, Nafplio, Corinth, Tripoli, Sparta, A ‘Patras, C’ Patras, Amaliada, Pyrgos, Kalamata, Messolonghi, Agrinio, Thebes, Livos, Livadia, Livadia, B Trikala, Grevena, Kozani, Arta, Ioannina, Preveza, Kastoria, Florina, Ptolemaida, Serres, Alexandroupolis, Orestiada, Komotini, Chania and Rethymnon.

The change in the territorial responsibilities is made, so that the area of each Postal Code belongs entirely to a specific Tax Office and is not divided into 2 or more.

In this way, the AADE can automatically locate the competent Tax Office and to further develop digital services to citizens and businesses, such as change of residence, start-up of a sole proprietorship, VAT return.

The redefinition of the territorial jurisdiction of the above Tax Offices is valid:

a) from Friday 6 May 2022 for the taxpayers natural or legal persons and legal entities that will acquire VAT and for those who will start working, while

b) the transfer of the taxpayers, who do not fall in the above cases, to the new Tax Office, to which they will belong, will be carried out centrally by the competent Services of AADE, from 16 to 19 September 2022.

The postal codes to which the postal addresses for which the local jurisdiction of the Tax Offices change are as follows are as follows:
