EYDAP’s turnover increased by 9.3% in 2021. The company showed an increase in revenue of 6.1 million euros from its main activities (water supply and sewerage), with water consumption showing a very small increase (1.8 %) last year. As for the pricing policy of EYDAP, it will be extended at least until the end of the year, a period which the Ministry of Environment promises to put into operation the Independent Water Regulatory Authority.
Based on its financial results presented a few days ago, the turnover of EYDAP amounted to 360.8 million euros, from 330.3 million euros in 2020, showing an increase of 9.2% (+30.4 million euros) . In total, from its main activities (water supply and sewerage) the company presented an increase of revenues by 6.1 million euros (+ 1.9%). The total water consumption was 406.8 million cubic meters compared to 399.8 million cubic meters. in 2020, increased by 1.8%.
According to the announcement of EYDAP, profits before taxes, financial investment results and total depreciation (EBITDA) amounted to 85.5 million euros, from -57.1 million euros in 2020. The EBITDA margin amounted to 23.7% , from -17.3% in 2020. Profits before taxes of EYDAP amounted to 59.4 million euros, from -80.4 million euros in 2020. Profits after taxes of the company amounted to 30.7 million. from losses of € 66.1 million in 2020.
EYDAP ruled out the possibility of increases in water pricing by the end of the year. In a letter, the Ministry of Environment, as the competent authority for the implementation of the general rules of costing and pricing of water services, informed EYDAP that an independent regulatory authority will be established at the end of 2022. The validity of EYDAP tariffs is extended until the approval of new tariffs under the new contract “.
