Eight out of 10 citizens pay even lower ENFIAThe Ministry of Finance said in a statement, adding that citizens have more resources available to deal with the effects of the energy crisis.
The post was made yesterday on the myAADE digital portal of the Independent Public Revenue Authority for 7.2 million taxpayers, natural and legal persons.
ENFIA is, in total, reduced – on a permanent basis – by 380 million euros for individuals, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
Eight out of ten citizens saw in their tax cut tax reduction, compared to 2021, and thus have more resources available to deal with the effects of the energy crisis.
This is achieved due to the change in the way the tax is calculated, which was elaborated by the Ministry of Finance and recently legislated by Law 4916/2022, despite the adjustment of objective values which led to an increase in the total value of citizens’ property by 20%, ie by EUR 95 billion.
Finally, for the convenience of the taxpayers, EN.F.IA. of the year 2022 can be paid in up to 10 equal monthly installments, instead of six. The first installment is paid by the last working day of May 2022 and the last installment is paid by the last working day of February 2023.
Citizens, looking at their statements and comparing them with the statements of 2021 and 2018, can see in practice the consistency of the Government on its pre-election commitments.
