While, in Brazil, McDonald’s faces the controversy of the picanha sandwich that doesn’t have picanha, in the United States, the fast food chain embarks on retrograde mercury to increase sales with a promotion that refers to astrology.
For two days, May 10 and 11, the network’s US app is offering free McDouble and McChicken burgers with the purchase of a serving of medium fries. The premise of the promotion, according to McDonald’s, is to bring comfort to fans during the “intergalactic chaos” caused by the arrival of mercury retrograde.
In addition, some customers won a tarot reading from influencer and tarot writer Madam Adam this Tuesday (10) on Tik Tok.
The period of retrograde mercury, which should last until the beginning of June, is known, according to astrologers, for causing difficulties in communication between people, disrupting plans and even causing equipment failures.
The promotion is only available in the United States.
