iFood partnered with Instituto Vero, founded by youtuber Felipe Neto, to start his reflection project on communication on social networks.
The initiative was proposed by the company after questions raised last month about an alleged campaign to demobilize couriers on the internet, which led the app to terminate a contract with a communication agency, hire lawyers to investigate the case and review its code of conduct.
The project begins with a lecture on the 25th for more than 5,000 iFood employees presented by Caio Machado, co-founder and executive director of Instituto Vero on the topic of an overview of disinformation and digital communication.
“The action is part of the measures adopted by the company to prepare its employees for the conscious use of social networks, an increasingly urgent topic on the agenda of current business communication”, says iFood.
Instituto Vero will also develop online training, which will become part of the professional development content offered to iFood employees and suppliers.
According to Diego Barreto, vice president of strategy and finance at iFood, the idea is to align concepts and responsibilities internally and with suppliers, and then create a broader debate group, involving civil society, to discuss the matter and attract other companies, institutions and thinkers for the debate.
