Halsey says her label demands TikTok success to release single

Singer Halsey used her TikTok profile this Sunday (22) to make a complaint about her record label, Astralwerks/Capitol. According to her, she is prevented from releasing a new song because the record company wants the product to go viral on the social network.

“I’ve been in this industry for 8 years and I’ve sold about 165 million records and my label said I can’t release it unless they can create a hit on TikTok,” he said. “It’s all marketing and they’re doing it for basically every artist these days.”

In the background of the video, she left a song playing (apparently the one that is barred” and hummed in a few moments. “I just want to release music and I deserve more, to be honest. I’m tired”, he concluded.

In May, Halsey took to social media to update her fans and followers about her health. She stated that she was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (known as Elastic Man Syndrome), Sjögren Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and SPOT (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardis Syndrome). “I’m still looking for answers to the cause of some of these things, which could be some other type of autoimmune disease.”
