Singer Anitta, 29, had her waxwork finished for the branch of the famous Madame Tussauds museum in New York. The artist and the museum shared the video on social media. In the image, the artist appears wearing a crop top from the “Girl From Rio” clip, a Rock in Rio costume panties and denim shorts.
“From Rio to New York. It’s coming,” reads the caption of the statue’s video posted on the museum’s Instagram profile, which did not share the completed work.
In August last year, the singer shared details of the production of her statue on social media. In the video, it was possible to see her choosing the best pose and collaborating with the artists responsible for the wax figure, who take her measurements and analyze her skin, hair and eye tones.
According to the singer’s advice, about 20 artists worked on the production of the piece, which was made in London, England. At the time, the team said the wax sculpture would be ready within six months and would be transported to its new home in New York, where it will be on display.
Madame Tussauds is the most famous wax museum in the world. In it, people who have distinguished themselves in some area are immortalized. The New York branch is close to Times Square, one of the city’s tourist attractions.
