Arthur Aguiar, 33, announced that he will need to postpone the debut of his tour, which was scheduled for the next 9th. That’s because, according to his social media, he will need to undergo surgery to correct an inguinal hernia.
The actor, singer and champion of BBB 22 (Globo) said that he had this condition since before entering the reality show, in January, but that it has worsened in recent times because of the “hectic routine and physical efforts, outside and inside of the House”. “I started rehearsing and since then she has been getting worse, progressively!” he reported.
“The pain has been increasing and I’ve been talking to my doctor, trying to put off the surgery as long as possible,” he said. “But unfortunately, with the rapid worsening he asked me to operate before the tour because a more serious complication can happen due to the movements and efforts involved in the whole process, and the situation will be infinitely greater.”
Arthur said he even postponed the surgery on two occasions. “I already knew I had this condition and needed to operate, I chose to enter the program and operate later,” he said. “When I left Big Brother my tour was scheduled and once again I postponed the surgery.”
Now, he has no way to postpone the procedure, which, according to him, will “put this hernia in place with the help of a mesh”. “I’m already doing all the necessary tests and soon I’m going to have an operation to prevent the situation from getting worse,” he said.
The artist also said that he will use the moment for something else he had been putting off. “I’m going to take the opportunity to have another surgery I need on my nose, which has also been getting in the way of singing and breathing when I sleep,” he said.
“I’m really sad about it, because you know this tour is a big dream, it’s the dream of my life,” he commented. “I was giving my all to deliver this gift to you, preparing everything with great care, everything thought of in the smallest details… but at the moment I need to prioritize my health and be 100% well to deliver everything you deserve.”
Arthur said it is “very painful” to talk about it and that he was reluctant to even make that decision, but that he believes “God’s plans are bigger than mine”. “I promise I’ll come back stronger than ever!” he told fans.
