The most glamorous TV stars gathered on Sunday night (June 5) in Barker Hangar, California for the MTV Movies & TV Awards hosted by actress Vanessa Hudgens.
The crimson carpet was laid to welcome the biggest names on the American scene, including Jennifer Lopez who stole the show. She even appeared emotionally charged in her thank you speech.
“I want to thank the people who gave me joy and those who broke my heart, those who were real and those who lied to me,” Lopez said in tears as she won this year’s Generation Award.
Lopez also won the best song award – a new category – for “On My Way” from the soundtrack of the romantic comedy “Marry Me”.
She thanked her children who she said taught her to love, her fans and her longtime manager by stirring up the audience at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
