Ricardo Petraglia shows marijuana plants and warns friends: ‘I can’t give you anything’

Away from television since 2015, Ricardo Petraglia, 71, has been dedicating himself to defending the medicinal use of cannabis. Petraglia became a farmer associated with the Brazilian Association for Cannabis 4 years ago and in recent days he has been sharing with his followers several videos of his plantation, in Xerém, district of the municipality of Duque de Caxias, Rio.

Petraglia has said in several interviews that he has smoked marijuana recreationally since his youth, but in 2005 he started using it as an ally to treat back pain. He felt better, practically cured, and has since decided to seek permission to grow the herb legally.

Proud of what he has been harvesting – and showing on the networks -, the cannabis activist revealed that friends and followers have been looking for him to make some requests. “They want seed, ‘beck’ [cigarro de maconha] and oil”, he said. But “no matter how much he wants” to collaborate, Petraglia says he recognizes that he can be harmed by this.

“If I decided to distribute, I could lose my special license to plant for my own use”, commented the actor, who ended up indicating two sellers of marijuana seedlings for those interested.

In addition to images of his greenhouse in full expansion, the actor has also made videos showing his routine on the property. In one of them, Petraglia appears next to her companion Marília, showing her marijuana plants, smoking a “beck” and even dancing to the sound of “Envolver”, by Anitta.

Ricardo Petraglia became nationally known for playing with the mouse Topo Gigio, at Bandeirantes, in the 1980s, and also for his characters in Globo’s soap operas, in the last 30 years – “A Viagem”, “História de Amor”, “Salsa e Merengue ” and “For Love”, among others. The last work was in the biblical plot “The Ten Commandments” of Record TV, seven years ago.
